Piece #272 – Chinese Elm / Obsidian Outlay – 3.5″ x 8.5″ – SOLD
This is my first attempt at building an outlay using minerals. Obsidian is a very hard mineral born of silica and lava. It is black. On this piece I mixed in a tiny amount of transparent calcite to give it contrast. I am very pleased with how this piece turned out.
