The rim on this large bowl is the focal point. The inside top of the rim is inlaid with calcite mineral. The outside edge of the rim is intricately stippled and spills over the side giving a rough textured effect.

This unusual curly camphor bowl is very unique. The curls are quite pronounced and give the 3D effect. The undercut edge is inlayed with blue and white calcite mineral. The blue texture under the rim is called stippling and each indent is hand painted. It can be used to display fruit, serve salad or just put on display as art.
Delicate Pierced Closed Form #398

This closed form is made from Camphor. There is a turquoise colored calcite inlay around the outside edge. The top is less than 1/16 inch thick and pierced in a doily pattern. The finial is Orange Osage and the base is red oak. It is quite delicate; so handle with care.

Mineral Inlay Hummingbird Platter #394

This steamed beech platter features a hummingbird drinking from a Hibiscus flower. The bird and flower inlay are about 1/4 inch deep. Minerals used were calcite, fushite, howlite and obsidian. The outside border is optical calcite with the inlay cut all the way through the wood so that light passes through the optical calcite. I have invested about 100 hours of my time in the piece. It has it’s own display stand.
